The episode beings with Theo getting angered by Lena& #39;s comment, the usage of the button bursting here manages to represent his feelings towards Lena well.
Here we see Haruto making jokes about their current situation, which I think is a good decision to add these in to make the later moments in the episode hit harder.
I like the use of a pot (or an open-top cylindrical shape if you want to be specific) to transition between scenes here, a neat detail.
This is the part where it gets kinda funny since the cloth bucket represents the girls here.

My general thoughts about these added scenes is that I think they& #39;re good!
They managed to characterize the Spearhead Squadron well, I think it& #39;s important to give snippets of these characters& #39; lives to make them feel real/relatable and they delivered on that front.

They had the girls instantly aim at Daiya to make the

Really like the transition with Kurena here, the contrast between her having fun, on a sky with bright colors vs. the less colorful Spearhead HQ with her mood in the dumps really makes it hit home that the has tone changed.
The addition of Haruto& #39;s jokes on their current situation, which I talked about near the beginning of the thread really shines here.

There was a lot going on during that conversation so, let me take a step back and talk about Kaie& #39;s and Theo& #39;s body language here.
When she glances towards Theo and he looks in her direction you basically understand that Theo was the comrade that Kaie was mentioning to Lena.

Theo& #39;s eye twitching and sudden zoom& #39;s at his pen does well to capture his dissatisfaction with Lena getting all buddy-buddy with the Spearhead Squadron but basically doing nothing different compared to your average Alba.
Not much to say here except that the character animation here almost made me feel like Lena was there with the Spearhead Squadron, great work by the chads at A-1.
I really like how Lena added doodles to her notebook/diary as they showed snippets of her conversation with the SS, it adds to the innocence of her character.

The fadeout to the ED cut in this scene does an amazing job, basically letting the audience experience how helpless Lena feels after letting Kirschblüte get destroyed.
Lena& #39;s body language in the after-credits scene does well to present the hard as fuck reality check she got hit with.
