How we can finally get Stan Kroenke to sell up

A VERY detailed THREAD

The truth stings
There’s two things that us as a fanbase have to follow if we’re actually serious about Kroenke ever considering selling up:

1.) stop funding him

2.) stop supporting his symptoms which manifest daily at this club

That’s it. This thread explains why these two things are REQUIRED
Why are those two options NECESSARY for getting rid of Kroenke, and why is it the only two ways that will work?

Because 1.) it’s based on the fact that we have a global fanbase

2.) it’s something that EVERY fan can follow
Kroenke cares about what affects his pockets. Therefore, he cares about our global fanbase in comparison to just our match-going fans. This is the reality, and we have to base our attempts to get Kroenke out, on this reality
In an ideal world, protests alone would be enough to get a multi-billionare owner, as stubborn as Kroenke, to sell his one of his businesses
But realistically, Kroenke needs to see a reason, past fan pressure, as to why selling the club would be a better option than him remaining an owner of it, and that reason is a SIGNIFICANT loss in revenue
Let’s ask ourselves, what really led to Wenger getting sacked: was it the protests before we played Bayern in 2017, was it the results, or was it the empty seats/drop in revenue in 17/18? Quite clearly the latter, as it affected kroenke’s pockets, which is all he cares about.
So using this evidence-based approach, us as fans are going to have to make a decision (a decision I made a while ago). Do we continue to fund this owner through tickets and merchandise, and hope that protests on its own will be enough to shake this billionare out of Arsenal?
Or do we do things the hard way which is sacrifice that attachment to the club in terms of new kits, new merchandise, and being at the ground, alongside regular protests?
Because quite frankly, the latter is more likely to hit Kroenke where it actually hurts
Kroenke looks at his accounts before he looks at our discontent. If he saw a significant drop in revenue, then and only then would he react to our discontent. Because the discontent is causing drop in revenue, which is all he cares about.
So we’ve established why funding Kroenke is something that must end.
Let’s look at the second thing that us as a fanbase MUST do, along with the first thing, in order to finally see the back of this owner, and that is to stop supporting the SYMPTOMS of Kroenke.
What do I mean by that? By symptom, I mean, anything that is unique to having an owner like Kroenke: i.e penny-pinching.

Josh Kroenke in the fan forum was asked about investment and he said “long term model does not support long term high investment”
That quote from Josh exposes two forms of Kroenke-ism, one of which is penny-pinching as we know, the other is this ‘long term model’ farce. In other words, a ‘process’, a ‘rebuild’. All these nonsensical buzzwords are symptoms of Kroenke as they promote money-saving exercises
It’s all well and good shouting “Kroenke out, Kroenke out!”, but what good does it make if you then turn around and say “we need to be realistic about our situation, we know we need 4/5 years to ‘rebuild’ because we’re skint”.
You’re literally pandering to a symptom of Kroenke..
If anyone asks me who I want to sign in the summer, I’ll tell you straight up: anything less than a goalkeeper, right back, a pair of centre backs, a swarm of midfielders and a winger followed by an equal number of outgoings is unacceptable.
Why is it unacceptable? Because I’ve not allowed Kroenke to lower my standards for him, because that would be me supporting his symptoms. I rate a transfer window out of 10 based on my STANDARDS, NOT my EXPECTATIONS
A lot of fans will give a transfer window an 8/10 just for signing sander berge and some other average dross, simply because it exceeded their expectations. Expectations are simply what I know this club will do, STANDARDS on the other hand is what I DEMAND that this club do
If you rate what this club do based on expectations, you’ll fall into the trap of being drip fed the very bare minimum until something half decent looks like an absolute miracle..simply because “I didn’t expect them to do that😱” you see how it works?
And the club have done this to us for over a decade. Signings like Pepe, Partey, Auba, Laca, Sanchez, Ozil, shouldn’t have our fanbase doing knee-slides and backflips. This should be routine transfer business.
Expectations can fluctuate based on who the owner is, who the employees are etc, but standards have to remain. Standards should be the same before kroenke, during kroenke and after kroenke. Therefore Kroenke needs to understand that he has to adhere to our standards or leave
How can Kroenke get this message if signing Willian, Gabriel and Partey is seen as an 8/10 window, and loan signings + terminating some contracts is seen as an 11/10 window?
Another symptom of Kroenke is treating 4th like a trophy.
Why is this a Kroenke symptom? Because our ambition to spend should NOT be limited to whether we qualify for a competition or not. Kroenke, through the help of Wenger (it must be said) and other PR, convinced us otherwise
Again, if you ask me what my targets for next season are, I will tell you straight up: i want to finish 1st. Now again, my EXPECTATIONS are probably 6th or 7th, but that doesn’t mean I start celebrating if we finish 5th next season.. because my STANDARDS are 1st, as it should be.
Therefore, if we do not finish 1st, the people responsible for this have to be held accountable, the players, manager, technical director, board and owner. Simple as. No ifs, no buts. Therefore, the summer window needs to be geared towards finishing 1st, ALWAYS.
A lot of division within the fanbase is ROOTED in a difference in standards. If the majority of us stuck with a principal of ‘1st or nothing’, there wouldn’t be much to be divided about, we would unite even more against those responsible for us not finishing 1st, which is good!
You see, a drop in revenue will make Kroenke concerned. BUT, refusing to support his symptoms is also VERY important because it gives him the ultimatum which is “if you want to see your revenue go up, we need to see us finish 1st”
It leaves Kroenke with two options: either take the financial risk in trying to finish 1st (splashing loads of cash) in order to see an increase in shirt sales, OR sell the club (if he doesn’t want to take that financial risk). This is the IRREFUTABLE solution to getting him out
So is why is us not funding kroenke and us and not supporting his symptoms the most effective way of getting him to sell up?
Because not only are those two things a necessity, but it’s something that every fan can do, globally! and it’s a message that can be spread online
Regular protests should be a SYMBOL of us not funding Kroenke and not supporting his symptoms. But protests just on its OWN won’t persuade an owner, who doesn’t care about us in the first place, to sell one of his businesses. Regular protests NEED to come WITH those two I listed
There’s plenty of Kroenke symptoms I could list out but they all boil down to SAVING MONEY, ask yourself if the club are really doing something because of class and ‘the arsenal way’, or just because it’s cheap?
Call employees out who are symptoms of Kroenke
Whether you’re Arteta in or Arteta out, when he comes out and says “I feel full backing from kroenke”, you shouldn’t tolerate that at all because that is a symptom of Kroenke. The manager, the directors the ceo etc. need to know that we don’t tolerate what kroenke has legislated
we need to reach a stage where a significant number of fans refuse to fund kroenke and a significant number of fans refuse to tolerate any symptoms of this owner. Then we need regular protests to go ALONGSIDE those two things
We won’t achieve that overnight, it will be a ‘process’😂 but that is the environment we have to reach to even think about Kroenke ever selling up. That is the level of sacrifice required. And it has to be consistent
And The club will be our enemy in this. In the sense that, if we try to go down this route, the club will try ANYTHING to let our guard down and lower our standards, whether through fake transfer links, new merch, or just heavy PR. My concern is whether we will be vigilant enough
At the end of the day, If we want to achieve the end goal, we have to match Kroenke’s stubbornness.

End of thread! Thank you for making it to the end
