Today, at the store, I overheard someone say “I don’t know any medical professionals but they sure aren’t doing anything to stop COVID” and it took everything in me not to go off b/c I have watched my dad the last 1.5 yrs do everything he can despite the nation thinking otherwise

Everyone is trying to do the best they can with the information they have. This is a completely new disease which requires us to figure out what it is, it’s origins, and how to treat it. I know it’s frustrating. Trust me, I get it.....

But to insinuate people aren’t trying is such a disgrace and disrespect to everyone that is working day and night, tooth and nail to figure out what this is and how to help. Trust me when I say medical professionals want this over more than anyone else in the world.

Do y’all not understand how frustrating it is for medical professionals to NOT know what something is and how to treat it? Most got into the profession to treat things, so not knowing what something is and how to treat it I can guarantee you is harder on them then us.

My dad, and all other medical professions, are trying and doing the best they can. Don’t tell me they aren’t. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. You telling them they aren’t is an insult not only to them, but their friends and family members that have to watch them feel helpless

We’re all frustrated. I get it. But there’s no need for disrespect to the people that are fighting left and right to figure out what this is and how to help.

Please be respectful of medical professionals always, but especially during these times.

I posted this on 3/23/20. I’m bringing it back b/c people need to understand what this is doing to medical professionals. They’re doing the best they can. They’re trying despite people not following preventive measures or believing they aren’t doing anything. Be kind already
