I attribute a LOT of my success to my network

my approach to networking is all the same

The example I’m going to use is my with my homie @Lukealexxander to help me out a year ago when I was still in the early days

You can use this to get anyone to give you a shot
A lot of people say the same stuff for networking

“Provide value” well no duh

I originally asked Luke for a consulting call- he didn’t respond (smh)

Then I believe I simply asked if he needed any help in his business
Told me he needed appointment setters

So I got to work- pretty sure it took me 2 weeks to book him a call that he closed for $8k

he was stoked, I was stoked, and now he was open to helping me grow my business

Lesson 1) make the right people money and it’ll come back 10x
Let’s think of other ways to apply this

Say you’re interested in private equity

Find someone that is in PE- figure out what type of businesses they invest in

Then create a Rolodex of businesses for them with your own analysis of pros and cons for each business
Give them the list- expect NOTHING in return

But if they end up investing in one of those businesses?

I can almost guarantee you that person will take care of you or give you a shot

Something else I’ve done is simply sending people leads
Ex.) I know @splashmanpb is the goat of email marketing

So I used to send him leads when they came my way

Now we’re boys and talk often

also just be genuinely interested in people

Listen to their podcasts/interviews

Take notes- bring up specific points in conversation
And just like anything- follow up a LOT

“Hey john hows the new business you started coming along that we talked about a while back? “

oh you need xyz? Go find xyz for them.
Help as many people as you can expecting nothing in return and it will come back to you 10 fold

help the big dogs make money and they will in return help you become a big dog

If this thread helped you
