1/ The NFL draft prospect I am probably most invested in is Ja'Marr Chase.

In February, I made my first bet on him, and I have steadily added to the position since then.

Here are some thoughts -- and more bets I'm making -- on Chase.

2/ Bob McGinn is one of the best all-around draft writers in the business.

His annual position-by-position draft series is something every serious football fan should read.

In researching, he interviews many talent evaluators (scouts, GMs, et al.).

He is incredibly thorough.
3/ Unanimously, the evaluators ranked Chase as the top wide receiver in this year's class.

Not since 2007 -- with Calvin Johnson -- have the evaluators all singled out just one receiver as the clear top option in a cohort.
4/ Barring anything unforeseen, Chase will be the No. 1 wide receiver selected on Thursday night.

He has a very strong chance to go to CIN at No. 5. I'd be shocked if he fell past MIA at No. 6. I haven't seen him fall past DET at No. 7 in any mock.
5/ So my position is clear: I think it's highly likely that Chase is the No. 1 wide receiver, that he goes to CIN at No. 5, and that he's a lock for the top 10.
