Message has been circulating on popular social media platforms that it's not completely safe for menstruators to get vaccinated around the time of their menstrual cycle and that there are negative repercussions. This post is meant to serve as a fact checking mechanism for that.
There is no conclusive evidence to suggest a relationship between Covid-19 vaccination and menstruation, we should push for more research. The testing of vaccination has been dominated by a first-come-first serve process, which leaves little space for controlling for sex ratio.
An inclusion in testing of any new vaccinations and drugs is imperative to not only make informed decisions but also to have information about how it affects different individuals, and how to deal with specific side effects accordingly.
Have you gotten vaccinated yet? If not, please go get vaccinated. All 18+ citizens are eligible for vaccination post 1st May.

We invite you to share your experience!
We refer menstruators as those women, girls, trans, AFAB people who menstruate!
