Have had a look at the Post Office civil judgments and Mr Justice Fraser has done some awesome judging in this case - both in substance and case management

A credit to @JudiciaryUK - especially given that @PostOffice were until recently defending their 'robust' system
But still unacceptable that the defendants had to wait until April 2021 to have their criminal convictions quashed

Some convictions going back to 2003

Criminal justice system got there eventually - but no good reason why it should have taken so long
Some people have complained of the legal fees

But reading the judgments, you will see the sheer amount of legal and evidential work needed to take on and defeat a highly resourced @PostOffice defending their 'robust' system

Immense legal job
Here is Mr Justice Fraser's 155-page, 1024-paragraph civil judgment on the failure of the @PostOffice Horizon system

https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/QB/2019/3408.html

Paragraph 929 is an all-time judicial classic
This example is horrific but typical

The person at @PostOffice ultimately responsible for contesting (and thereby prolonging) this litigation got a CBE
Finally

Huge shout out to the estimable @nickwallis who has both covered and uncovered the @PostOffice Horizon scandal
