My final subscription issue of @WR_Record.

I cancelled my subscription because in the past few months, Luisa D'Amato and The Record have produced content that do not align with my values, so I'm moving on. 1/

From painting the perpetrator of racist actions as a bullied victim - ignoring how they affected people like me - to the recent editorial by John Roe that suggested the WRPS diversity cruiser had merit: I'm sorry, but I am exhausted, and I am done. 2/

I cannot continue to support a paper that features an apologist for white supremacy. It seems to me that the views and legitimate fears of IBPOC are less important than hers and other white people. 3/

The Record has some incredible talent that I will miss; actually, most of the reporters and photographers. They do excellent work, which takes incredible talent and skill. But there are also reporters whose work keeps me up at night as I think about how I should respond. 4/

I am really not seeking to "cancel" the writer with whom I disagree. I'm not seeking to create a newspaper in my image, but recently, The Record has been causing me stress and harm, and that's not healthy. Enough is enough.
