I grew up in Brampton, my parents and friends still live there - I’m terrified for them every day. Peel feeds us, clothes us, ships our Amazon packages to us. - Peel accounts for 20% of the provinces cases, but only get 7.5% of vaccine supply
- Brampton has ONE hospital to serve 600K people, Toronto had FIVE on one street

- Peel processes 40% of Amazon packages and 60% of trucking starts there
- Peel is the largest producer of everything from chicken to peanut butter to ventilators

Things are bad, but many of us wouldn’t have survived this pandemic it it weren’t for the racialized, immigrant, international student populations that make up Peel. They kept us alive, while fighting for their own lives.
