As an American, I'm doing my best to pressure the federal govt to do more. But a lot of indian anger against the US, while very understandable, is misguided.
First of all, US system is way more complex and slow moving, especially after Trump gutted almost every agency.

Sure, a lot of these controls can and should be moved. But Biden is not an "announce something on primetime news at 8 pm and let everyone figure it out at midnight" type leader. Nor is Klain. In a couple of days, I'm sure we will hear of more action and help for India.

But for all those breathing fire from their noses, let me just point out that
- US is still losing on average 1000 people a day to covid
- US is still getting 65-70K new cases daily

These of course look less dire compared to India. But US is SOOO not finished with covid.

Indians seem to think that just because US is getting vaccinated at very rapid rates, covid is finished here.
It.
Is.
Not.

The curve is flattening but still not at the X axis like in Australia or South Korea.

Indian requests are like gharcha zaala thoda, vyahyane dhaadla ghoda!

Again, not saying the US can't offer any help. We sure can. And I'm going to be doing everything I can to pressure everyone in DC I call. Just saying, india, redirect the anger towards Lok Kalyan Marg. We will take care of the white house from our side.
