Analyzing BLACKPINK JENNIE's "SOLO" The Show Remix Rap Verse; a thread.

THE RHYME SCHEME

I love how Jennie is able to incorporate different forms of rhyming onto this verse. (cr: @jensbyuI)

- Perfect (ex. shine and mine)
- Imperfect (ex. ddu du and lose two)
- Internal (ex. Oh me, crossed c's. palm trees, calm breeze)
- End (ex. well and Chanel)
"Used to be your girl, but nevermind that used to"

I do think that this indicates an act of restatement. However, this time, its not about "I can do things without you" but this time, she introduces us to a rap verse wherein she's like, "Look at you, now look at me, b!tch."
She will never let herself be defined as someone's "used to" because she's clearly more than that. She is a rich and successful woman, a chart-dominating solo artist, and a member of the biggest girl group of this generation.
"Let me shine, gettin' mine, I hit you with that ddu-ddu"

- Jennie references "DDU DU DDU DU", which is one of their biggest hits so far. It is also an onomatopoeia to gunshots.

Lets revisit this iconic verse since we're talking about D4 here:
"Got a lot of whatever I want, like I could lose two"

States how rich she is right now; that she got all the things she wanted in her life. Even if she gets to lose one expensive thing that she has, she can always buy herself a new one.
"Wanna find me? I be in Paris a lot, that's beaucoup"

She always has stated how she liked Paris, France, and that she is also learning how to speak in French.
STRETCH: This may also be a reference to the Chanel brand, since it was founded in Paris, France as well. She is currently one of the House Ambassadors of the exquisite and world-renowned fashion brand.
"Too cool, ooh, four-finger ring, pink on it
Chain all ice like I could pour this drink on it"

In these verses, she is talking about jewelries and stuff like that.
i also observed how jennie is able to use "ice" with different meanings. "ice" as in diamonds and "ice" as in frozen water that can be used in drinks.

it may mean that her "ice" is legitimate, clear and of high quality that she can "put a drink on it" like its actual ice.
STRETCH: "Four finger ring pink" may also symbolize BLACKPINK, since they're a quartet group and the "pink".

since we're talking about BLACKPINK, stream DDU DU DDU DU🥰
"Been gone and came back, comin' for the payback
Asked them how you like it and it's lookin' like they hate that."

A reference to How You Like That, their recent title track for their debut album, after being on a hiatus lasting for more than a year.
This may also mean of Jennie's "comeback" to rapping, since her last track with her rapping on it before The Album era was SOLO (the original).
"W, no L's, covered W and Elle, and it's none left on the shelf"

W, no L's - Wins, no losses; since her and BP's career is always on its road to go up. She was also able to do magazine covers for W and Elle. "none left on the shelf" talks about the so-called "Jennie Effect".
For those who doesn't know what the "Jennie Effect" is, its just a title given to Jennie for being a sold-out queen; the magazines with her as the cover and the brands she advertised always gets out of stock due to her impact.
"Get in trouble by myself, solo, oh well"

References to every controversy that Jennie has been through from the pre-debut, BLACKPINK, as a solo artist, etc.
"All me, cross c's, Coco Chanel"

Crossed C's is the symbol of chanel, the same brand that has chosen her as one of their brand/house ambassadors. Coco Chanel is a fashion icon and the founder of the said brand.
since we're talking about Coco Chanel, stream Coco Chanel by Nicki Minaj ft. Foxy Brown 😘
"Palm trees, calm breeze, living in a dollhouse"

I do think this is the most interesting part of the whole new rap verse. This is a double entendre.
Take note that Palm branches also symbolize the following: victory, triumph, peace, and eternal life.

This further supports the first message of this verse, which is about Jennie living the life that she wanted.
Second Meaning: This verse references her Gentle Monster eyeglass pop-up store deal, the "Jentle Home" which looks like a large dollhouse from inside and out. Gentle Monster is a South Korean eye accessory brand.
Please also take note of the following:

"Palm trees, calm breeze," is an imagery of a beach. What accessory do people wear in those places? eyeglasses. What product does the Gentle Monster brand sell? eyeglasses.
