To speak of ADHD is to speak of executive dysfunction.

Executive functions are like & #39;shortcuts& #39; that our brains evolved.

Like how websites allows you to save your username and password or buy with one click.

Our brains can& #39;t save passwords and can& #39;t buy with a click.
They& #39;re not automatic as they need focus but they& #39;re like simplification of the process.

My classic example is that non ADHDers have automatic gears in their brains while we have manual ones.

Our brains aren& #39;t worse, but since not many drive stick, we& #39;re not taught it either.
Our brains struggle cause they are in the wrong gear and we don& #39;t know how to shift it.

We ask people around us for help but they look at us funny cause they don& #39;t have to deal with gear.

They never had to deal with gears and just assume we& #39;re bad drivers making excuses.
I really fucking butchered this thread. The possessive words are all over the place.

I used the word & #39;our& #39; to describe human brains and ADHD brains without giving context to indicate I switched.

Guys, does the thread make sense or should I delete it and put up a clearer one?
