Been thinking a lot about mood and environment and the relationship between the two lately.
Lots of you will know I went through a really rough down spell towards the end of last year, when we were locked down and, aside from work, were essentially confined to our homes.
I live on my own which obviously has its downsides anyway. But I also live alone in a small flat on the ground floor of a street without a lot of natural light (tenement flats either side).
So when the days became shorter and the sun was hiding away, I REALLY felt the impact of that. And like my poor wee houseplants, I found myself withering.
Now that the days are longer and the sun is shining, I feel so much better. I’ve decided to try and find a brighter flat with more space to avoid another spell like that. I also want to move somewhere where I might be allowed to get a pet!
