So SAICA exam results are out😳.
I wrote the board exam in 2000. I failed, I was STUNNED! First fail of my life. Arthur Andersen was a small audit firm, I didn’t want to show my face.....
I regrouped and strategised, studied like I never did before - more than I did in CTA.
CTA was another trauma on its own but I digress.....
I passed the second time around. To all of you that didn’t make it, 76% - hang in there. I wouldn’t exchange my CA (SA) for anything, it’s been the ultimate passport. 20 years later what’s just happen will be a speck of dust.
And no one will care much that you wrote the board exam twice or more. Most people who have walked that journey appreciate that it’s a marathon. A hard marathon. I wish I can hug all of you, but this really will pass.đŸ€—
I know those tears very well. @CoruscaKhaya

Dear universities and SAICA this outcome needs an urgent and very SERIOUS post mortem.
It’s important that we share the lessons of the journey, not just the final outcome. CA(SA) gave me: a career of a LIFETIME, travelled the world, a husband (married a CA I met outside SA), opportunity to choose what I want to do with the rest of my life. It was so worth it.
