The world is full of charlatans and snake oil salesmen peddling crap. However, a special place in hell is reserved for those who hold medical degrees and still mislead masses by dismissing cheap and effective treatments in spite of enough data being available in support of these.
Here is one medical degree holder (US Congress Covid expert) genius with 25K plus followers. She claims 'Ivermect*n, EtchCQ, Zinc, Vit D and Azithrom*cin do not work'. She has received more than 2600 retweets. Let's see some easily available data. https://twitter.com/KrutikaKuppalli/status/1384877529966780420?s=20
Claim: Ivermect*n doesn't work.
Data: Check https://c19ivermectin.com  , 100% studies for early treatment show positive outcome and 98% of all studies show positive outcome.
Check https://ivmmeta.com/  a study of studies on Ivermect*n. Mortality was 84% lower, RR 0.16 for early treatment. 85% improvement seen as a prophylactic. Such jaw-dropping reduction in deaths with early treatment can take a huge pressure off our creaky medical infra.
Claim: Vit D doesn't work
Data: You must be living in a cave if you don't know how Vitamin D deficiency is directly linked with poor prognosis and higher deaths in Covid. Please check https://vdmeta.com . 95% of the studies on Vit D to date report positive effects.
Claim: EtchCQ doesn't work
Data: 65% improvement with early treatment and 72% improvement in mortality with early treatment. These numbers are certainly not to be sneezed at! https://c19hcq.com/
Most here know this drug doesn't work in the late stage disease. However, in some studies this drug was administered to hospitalized/ICU patients, that too 3-4 times the ideal dosage. The biggest UK trial on EtchCQ confused the dosage with similar sounding Hydroxyquinoline (WTF!).
Claim: Zinc/Azithrom*cin don't work.
Data: All Zinc level studies in Covid19 show from 36-78% improvement. https://c19zinc.com/
This study data clearly show that a significant number of COVID-19 patients were zinc deficient. These zinc deficient patients developed more complications, and the deficiency was associated with a prolonged hospital stay and increased mortality. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S120197122030730X
There are enough resources available at the click of a button which can show that cheap, commonly available repurposed drugs (Fluvoxamine may be the new Rockstar) can yield fantastic results and save lives/hospitalization numbers/ICU admissions. https://twitter.com/stkirsch/status/1384260495620808705?s=20
They say-'there is none so blind as he who will not see'. Either these learned/highly educated doctors/decision-makers are driven by a vicious agenda or they're patently incompetent. In either case, this is criminal and they don't need to be where they are.
I'm not a doctor, I have no past experience with medicine. If I can collect and see this data, I refuse to believe that people in high positions who are more qualified to take decisions are unaware of the obvious facts/data. Something is surely rotten in the state of Denmark!
