It feels so good to see MIL numbers match the hype the album is getting from random people. There are always new people discovering Made In Lagos everyday, it’s a beautiful sight to see that Wizkid is getting his well deserved flowers. Check the streams from the first month...
You can see how consistent these numbers are on different platforms, songs climbing on charts.
Bought streams can never give you Made In Lagos type of success cos it’s not sustainable, look at how the album is consistently raking numbers and spreading like wildfire.
With just 4 videos released out of 14 tracks, the kind of height Made In Lagos has attained is more than impressive, loads of album have dropped for the past 6 months but Made In Lagos never left top 5 on Apple Music chart. Wizkid has proven to us that you don’t need club...
Bangers to sell, if you make good music, people are definitely going to listen.
We’ve seen different tracks from the album blow up in different countries, from Smile, No Stress, Ginger, True Love, Blessed and Essence, each track has had it own time, and every song has it own fans
I understand Apple Music is not the only streaming platform we have but it’s literally top 2 most credible streaming platforms alongside spotify, though spotify hasn’t lunched Nigerian chart yet and Made In Lagos has impressive numbers on other streaming platforms too.
90% of hits that dropped in the last quarter of 2020 have been made irrelevant by the newly released songs, people enjoyed them for the moment but they couldn’t withstand the test of time, Made In Lagos tracks on the other hand have been on people’s lips from the release day.
With no chance to go on tour or perform, Made In Lagos has gone beyond expectations, I can’t imagine the level of success the album will achieve when the world gets back to how it used to be.
Time to separate the boys from men!
