I don’t think y’all understand..when was the last time we’ve ever seen a male mc in a shonen manga THIS enamored by the female mc, past the point of time, space, and their own existence? Eren breaking barriers just for the way he loves mikasa alone.

I mean hello? Brutally murders two grown men at the age of nine to save her, constantly wanted to get stronger to protect her, tried to convince her out of joining the 104th for her own safety, defended her in court with the force of a mad man on his dying breath+

Always thinks of her nonstop, relates home and all the comforting things of his past with her face, her soft hand on his shoulder, relishes in the revelation that she loves him for simply being him, gains the motivation to punch a titan just for her, promises her forever+

His mind and memories are flooded with her face, the one he’s grown up with, fought side by side with, studied, admired, fell in love with. Always at his most vulnerable with her. Only trusts her to see that side of him b/c he knows that she believes with all her heart, in him.

And at his lowest, he asked her, nearly pleaded even, how she felt about him. Never once did he force his feelings on her and neither did she with him. The fact that her answer and her answer alone, would’ve made him whisk her away to nirvana. Always her. Only her.

Casted aside everything else, even if fleeting, even if but a dream or an alternate untouchable reality, just to be with her. Four years of living for the love of his life. For himself. No titans, no war-for once in his life, his humanity comes first. Mikasa is his humanity.
