Tips to avoid Remdesivir Covid-19 scams: #FraudAlert 🧵
1) Remdesivir needs to be kept between 2-8 Celsius at all times. Hence, Remdesivir is supplied directly to hospitals by authorized dealers. If someone is promising to give it in your hand, either they are scamming you, or...
or by the time you get it, the injection would probably lose its efficacy due to incorrect maintenance of cold storage. ...
2) Do a Twitter/Google search on the phone & account number. Check if someone complaining about fraud.

Yesterday my friend got frauded by 9406910131.
Search this number on Twitter and you will see complaints. You will also find tweets claiming this is a #verified source.
3)If the person has never spoken to you on phone or never met you, that’s a red flag. Scammers tend to use WhatsApp/SMS only. Unverified WhatsApp business accounts are also a common practice.

4)Ask a trusted friend to cross verify. Tell him to pose as an independent buyer.
5) Check this thread for known Scammers. If you find any scammers or black marketers add them to this thread. Or DM @sugandh on Twitter if you wish to remain anonymous.
Things scammers say:
1)“This is from a family of a patient that didn’t survive.”
2)“I will courier the injection to you.” Even if they do courier it, Remdesivir would not survive the heat. You will get a product that would have lost its efficacy.
