Have I mentioned how great my employer is recently?!

A thread...
First, one of my awesome supervisors called me in the vault and asked if I wanted to pick up some OT hours Monday night. Naturally, I enthusiastically said yes - and I got to choose which station I wanted to work!! I chose my favorite. 😊 (continued...)
So Aaron and I also had a wedding to attend tomorrow and I had requested the night off with PTO. It was rejected, but only because someone else already had the night requested and it would leave us short staffed. We decided to just attend the daytime events. No big deal...
Well, my elderly aunt (who's been in a memory care facility for the last 6.5 years) passed away the other day. 😭 Her funeral is also tomorrow. Last night, I mentioned to one of my supervisors that I had to go to my aunt's funeral instead of the wedding😔...
Later last night, my other supervisor called me up to the office for my 90 day review (I am doing great & got lots of compliments on my positive attitude, btw!), and then they informed me I was entitled to 3 days bereavement pay/ days off... and asked if I wanted to use it...
I voiced my concerns about it being a day they were already without the person who had tomorrow off and said I'd be there. They practically insisted I at least take Saturday off, that they'd work it out...
So I took them up on the offer, and now I won't have to worry about getting enough sleep before work tomorrow night, because they worked out the schedule so that I could have the day off and not stress about cutting my time with family short...
I'm so happy to work for an employer that values family & a healthy work/life balance. Just bums me out that I can't be in 2 places at once (funeral & wedding), especially when they're 3 hours apart, but I'll be where I'm needed most tomorrow...
And won't be fighting sleep deprivation tomorrow night at work, like I originally had planned. 💚😊

Natives are great employers, and my supervisors are AMAZING humans!!!
