Thread : Did you know ? VALORANT Edition.

Here's a bit of "information" to fill the wait for Breeze.
I decided to share some of the stuff I observed through my playtime on VALORANT.
You might know some of them, I can't guarantee everything. 1/17

To begin with, placeholders.

First, what is a "placeholder"?
A placeholder is a default value for anything that can change/be translated generally.
You generally don't realize they're here, but sometimes with low FPS, slow internet or just bugs, you can see them! 2/17

Here's a few example :

When the store loads, the background for the store rotation the background and the item names are to a default value before the actual data loads : 3/17

When you load your collection, the item names are defaulted to "Bolt Sniper", which is the internal name for the Operator. 4/17

Sometimes, you can get the following to happen. (In fact this is old Sova, used as a default in case nothing loads)
The screenshot is old, but the bug still happens once in a while. (I couldn't replicate it so I used a screenshot from Reddit. Credit in desc. of the pic.) 5/17

Now, map details!

Did you know that you could shoot some pots on Bind and break them? Did you also know that you could break the beer bottle and snowmen on Icebox by shooting at them? Now you do! 6/17

Did you know that you could find plushies hidden around the maps? They are scattered around the maps, here's some. Find others yourself, they're all great! 7/17

Did you know that Kingdom the main "antagonist" from the lore used to be called Atlas? You can see some of it's legacy on the back of that truck on Split. 8/17

Did you know that the Galleria skins wre inspired by some map art on different maps?
Here's one on Split, for the guardian. 9/17

Agent facts:
The agents have a few interesting details on them, here's a few :
1/ Phoenix got a VALORANT logo on his shoes.
2/ Skye's gloves got a number printed on them. Turns out it spells "PLANT" if you replace each number by their equivalent in the alphabet. 10/17

3/ Omen can breathe... He's getting scary y'all! He also have others animations for when he is shooting, gets hurt etc. 11/17

4/ More of a bug than anything else. Jett can stay with the arm up like she is throwing a smoke if you smoke yourself when close to a wall. 12/17

5/ Sova can... Go under the range with his drone? 13/17

There is a ton of easter-eggs in VALORANT, here's a few of them :

1/ TF2 players know what I'm going to say... Jarate! Next to a sniper casing... Yes. This is an easter related to the Sniper class! 14/17

2/ League of Legends players will recognize it if they haven't already did... Tahm Kench has a bench to his image!
3/ Scuttle Shack... Another League of Legends easter-egg. There's a ton of crabs around here. Legends has it that it never opened... 15/17

4/ Theo the pig is a pig that escaped from Ascent in Episode 1 Act 2. Apparently he is returning soon in Episode 2 Act 3... Interesting. (This was explained by devs back then, but he is making a return in the next battlepass!) 16/17

And I think that it's everything for today... Maybe more another time?
