Howcome everything is predestined though we are free-willed? If everything we ever do and go through in life is already written in our destiny then howcome we are responsible for things already decided for us by a Divine Being?

Although, apparently we do have a free will to make day to day choices but doesn't it sound all controlled with 'pens lifted and pages dried'?

Is destiny composed of consequences of our choices and efforts that we are bound to make and are already in Divine knowledge?

This is because destiny is perceived as an abstract phenomenon. Why can't it be a material reality?

Maybe the consequences of efforts and choices we have already made made our destiny in some 'other time'. And now we are experiencing or reliving them in 'another time', all side-by-side in some parallel universes.

And why do we perceive 'Loh o Qalam' as a pen and paper similar to ours. Pen is pen because we named it so. When Allah mentioned 'pen' in Quran, He didn't give its picture with it.

Nevertheless, pen itself has evolved from 3000-BC reed pens to 600-AD quill pens to ballpoints, fountain pens to the smart styluses.

So why does 'Loh o Qalam' have to be merely 'pen and paper'. Why can't it be some other smart system of encoding and decoding information like we have computers now. Perhaps, a system much smarter with data in form of different copies of a life-time or 'other-time'

as Iqbal mentions it in;

عشق کی تقویم میں عصر رواں کے سوا
اور زمانے بھی ہیں جن کا نہیں کوئی نام

Apart from the current moment, the love's calendar
Also contain other times, which have no name -

Every soul to have ever borne or to be ever born has been in the Realm of Souls (Alam Al Arwah) altogether. All the dwellers of Heaven and Hell, be them dead, alive, not yet born or to be born in a thousand years to come, were shown to Prophet Muhammad in his Mairaj.

We, with all our Déjà vus, gut feelings, visionary dreams (the roi'ya that is considered as the forty-sixth part of Prophecy),

intuitions and synchronicities manifested from some other-worldly experiences, might be existing simultaneously in different 'other times' in some unexampled, unprecedented big data system of God's.
