Ok so I’ve thought about this and as someone who championed @SimuLiu’s social media campaign for opportunities as an Asian American lead ... I want to try being generous and say that maybe he needs help understanding the diff between political and tactical disagreements https://twitter.com/simuliu/status/1385711299523342338
So hey @SimuLiu I just want to say that “opposing viewpoints” is not a good way to characterize tactical disagreements.

And talking about “radical extremist” when it comes to *needed* social change is a conservative/white supremacist talking point.
I really need @SimuLiu to understand the gravity of taking up white supremacist talking points now that he’s finally gotten an opportunity that was made possible by decades of people who struggled against white supremacy and with the support of people who are its targets
Anyway @SimuLiu, we rooted for you and helped you get this platform by repeatedly signal boosting your calls for attention and this is what the fuck you did with the platform? Damn
One of the reasons there continue to be challenges of trust between our communities is that Black folks break barriers, and then some of the Asian Americans who get opportunities because of it immediately turn around and start talking like white moderates. Not cool fam!!!!
Annnnnd if people think the point of this thread was that I just discovered that Simu Liu had gotten into fuckery, thanks for missing the point and feel free to keep scrolling!! Have a great weekend.
