#1 Always be weather aware! I suggest the 24/7 David Payne channel. If there is even a 1% chance of a tornado (Twisty Wind) you will *definitely* know. He even has tornado in his handle. @tornadopayne

2. Make sure you have plenty of water on hand.

3. Wear shoes or keep them close by. #okwx -F

4. Should a storm warning be issued. Seek shelter in a tub with no windows. Don't forget your flashlight! #okwx -F

5. If shelter is not available. Belt yourself and your loved ones to a poll or heavy object. (Source: Twister 1996)
