So here's something I would bring up to a therapist if I had a therapist!

Dad wanted us to go to New Mexico. He told me a month ago that he could not find any hotel rooms. Today he mentioned NM again... "Let's wait until you're vaccinated before we go."

I responded, "Are you just saying that but the real reason is that you couldn't find hotel rooms?" He laughed & said yes.

So! Basically! He felt bad he couldn't book a hotel, but decided to shift the "blame" onto the fact that I have yet to be vaccinated. Does that make sense?

And..... shouldn't he be genuinely concerned about me being vaccinated?

Still love him! But MAN. Anyway, do I have to pay y'all $200 for this thread.
