Before I get started: I AM A SINGLET, IM NOT APART OF A SYSTEM!
HOWEVER, these are things Iâve seen in my friends whose systems have fictives.
Sorry for any bad wording, I cannot speak from a fictives perspective.

1. DO NOT COMPARE THEM TO THEIR SOURCE
I see this A LOT, fictives tend to get uncomfortable towards being compared to their source, knowing they DO NOT act like their source. Fictives are REAL PEOPLE WITH THEIR OWN PERSONALITY.

2. Do NOT treat them as kins
I see this a lot too. They ARE REAL PEOPLE! Which is why they mention if you kin them, they ask you to not interact with them. Donât be like: âOH MY GOSH! [redacted] I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOUR MY FAVORITE. YOU SHOULD DO THIS AND THAT!â+

Fictives are their own people, once again going back to it, they DONâT act like their source.
Also donât pressure them to do anything like their source if they are uncomfortable with it.

3. DAâs
This one is on a hesitant scale but having a DA to an irl person might cause that fictive to get uncomfortable. Nevertheless it all depends on the fictive and how they will react. Some will get uncomfortable, some wonât.

Going back to what I said, FICTIVES ARE REAL PEOPLE! They arenât DAâs or people faking to be that character, they happen to be just like everyone else on this planet.

This makes Fictives uneasy while being a relationship and stress on that fictive. Not to mention it makes them very confused.

5. Donât treat them as someone special
They are like any normal person living a life, true yes they are a fictive, but they donât need to be babed (depending on the fictive) or be placed higher up than the rest. Yes, they have DID/OSDD but it still doesnât give you the right+

To do anything like that unless the fictive in question is okay with it.
Once again, they are like any else person just trying to get through lifeâs horrible stuff.
