My art was the outlet for the maelstrom of emotions I didnt know how to deal with. No one believed me when I said I was suffering. With nowhere else to go, I reached into the dark—and retrieved stuff like this.
Deleted some tweets in this thread bc they were too personal but to summarize: I had a bad home life, y’all. I had undiagnosed mental issues. A lot of us did and continue to. I firmly believe that art and writing are valuable forms of therapy for people of all skill levels.
