Have talked with many leaders over the past 2 weeks who are doubtful/worried about being on social media.

1. It doesn& #39;t "compete with established processes" or "allow Soldiers to jump the chain of command." Would you say the same to a Soldier who wanted to go to IG? I hope not.
2. SM makes you more accessible. Think of it as an extension of your open door policy. Meet Soldiers and Family members where they are.

3. I don& #39;t entertain the "bUt wHaT aBoUt oPsEc?" argument for a second. That& #39;s a defensive technique, so just be smart about what you post.
4. It& #39;s a great place to learn. I am better prepared to care for people in my future formation based on what I& #39;ve learned on this platform. Full stop.

5. Don& #39;t be worried about saying the wrong thing. If you have doubts, get a check from a friend. Block trolls accordingly.
Social media drives change in the Army. Don& #39;t believe me? The proof isn& #39;t hard to find.
