u know how people who don't know how to properly criticize films end up just pointing to a billion surface level errors & such which they blame in place of the bigger structural problems they're too unskilled to properly analyze? people talk about spiderverse like that in reverse

whatever the film appraisal version of plotholes is, thats how i feel about every aesthetic detail & animation quirk and well framed shot that lasts for like half a second that ppl spout on and on about in lieu of explaining why the film is even particularly special
