why tommy should bring back bttv: a thread.

bttv (and ffz, but when i talk about bttv i will always also be referring to ffz), for people who don't know, is a third party twitch browser extension which allows you to see extra emotes. these can be images or gifs:

having extra emotes in chats can be good for many reasons: having images instead of blocks of text can be easier for the streamer and the audience to read, therefore making the chat more enjoyable (arguably), for example.

the main reason tommy doesn't want to add bttv back is because he doesn't want viewers without bttv to feel left out (after his huuuge growth). let me explain why this shouldn't be a concern.
tommy averages around 200k viewers (sometimes much more). he says that he doesn't want

people to feel left out, but if the majority of people don't have bttv, and only a small portion of people do, then the amount of ppl that spam "POG" will outnumber the people who say "PogU". non-bttv frogs, if they see these emotes, will most likely ignore them, think of it as

some other form of Pog (which it is!) or they will google what the emote means. by googling the meaning of the emote, they will see the bttv emotes and install bttv!
the small majority of bttv frogs will enjoy their emotes back and can tell other tommy frogs about it, and they

will NOT outnumber the "POG"s.
another thing - bttv is used in many other chats. as we can see from this recent map ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/mu8nyp/twitch_atlas_vol_3/), the amount of viewers from the minecraft community (green) is shared quite a bit with the variety streamers.

imagine being a scared viewer just entering a variety streamer's chat for the first time, and seeing "PogU", "PepeLaugh", "catJAM" and more. seeing all these people spamming random words - it would be awful. tommy adding bttv to his chat would introduce these viewers to the

emotes and make them feel more welcome into new communities.
moving on from this point, tommy also seems to be wearing a lot of connoreatspants merch (even to the extent where people sell connor's merch calling it tommy's). if any of you are unfamiliar with connor and his chat,

he is a variety streamer and also plays on the dreamsmp. his chat uses a LOT of bttv emotes. if tommy is wearing connor's merch and representing the connoreatspants community, he MUST add emotes. tommy himself once spelt "widepeepoHappy" wrong in connor's chat and i laughed!

that is embarrasing!

finally, i am a muslim and it is ramadan and i would be a bit upset if it was not added. (JOKE.)
