Creators often think creativity can win it all

The truth is you need to understand customer acquisition

You can't just build quietly and expect people to find you

Last Friday, @awilkinson shared this advice and more with a small group of creators 👇
1/ Building an audience

• You need to have an audience
• Building an audience takes time, consistency, and quality content
• Collaborate with someone who has a great audience to get started
2/ Profit/Loss

Worry less about how much you make

Focus first on covering your costs
3/ Product-market fit

Start fast, stop fast

A lot of product-market fit is throwing spaghetti at the wall and trying different things quickly

Be ready to kill or pivot your business if it isn't working

The difficulty is finding out if you need to work harder or stop
4/ Course Creation hype cycle

We might be in the 1st hype cycle for courses

Same happened with podcasting

What works well for podcasters?

Having quality free content and paywalled content
