i know it's not in vogue to say this anymore, bc black philosophy has been successfully simultaneously integrated and segregated so that folks can escape this charge, but: beloved philosopher, yes you, i am actively judging you for not reading black people
honestly judging is far too light a word but i'm tryna keep it christian this friday afternoon
i just think it's funny have y'all have managed to successfully perform an acceptance of blackness as a problem for thought without actually thinking about it.....at all.....
ok snide comedy is insufficient, i'm consistently pissed about this, and not in an abstract: i (and all the rest of us) actively see, and are mad, at YOU for actively materially failing to engage with us
anyways, i just finished nahum chandler's "x" and am fully convinced a) that black philosophy is First Philosophy, and not in a cutesy neoliberal diversity way but in a "this is what all philosophical systems of the modern age need to be built on"
and b) that y'all simply do not appreciate that the discourse between sexton and moten, or the decades of interpretation of wynter, or recent innovations by jennifer nash, are fully undeniably more interesting, more insightful, and more radically system-sustaining than that
ten millionth paper on kant or heidegger you're reading :)
