Step 1. scroll down to your 'seller tools' and select manage invoices, then create a new one.
a little warning, it varies per person/per area, but i needed to have a bank account connected in order to actually receive the money.

Step 2. this big scary screen
it's really simple to fill this out- you want to change the due date unless you have a specific deadline for payment.
change the type of goods so you don't get a shipping address.
type in your customer and price information, and allow for tips!

you can also attach a banner and even files to it, if you prefer to do payment and image all at once, but please, always accept payment, or at least half up first.

Step 3. what does my customer see?
in the activity tabs, they'll receive a notification for a pending payment. when they click on it, it'll bring them to the 3rd image, where they cannot enter ANYTHING except for a tip amount.

this is especially important for artists who do NSFW, which paypal will lock your account for if they find out you do that.

you can also set up taxes if you need to, or bill for multiple commissions at once with the little 'add another line item' button.
overall this is the absolute safest way for payment on paypal! please stop using the basic 'send/request' feature for business if you're able to!

OH!! one more important thing, to really quickly make another invoice- without having to go through that whole processes again, you can create a template or simply copy your previous invoice and change the customer info.
