its funny cocaine withdrawal lasts like 2 weeks and we consider it a terrible addiction, but SSRI withdrawal puts your body through absolute hell (many people say it's worse than getting off heroin), and yet we don't consider it a chemical dependency

this isnt to say you should do coke and not do SSRIs, but that our concepts about dependence and addiction are extremely stupid

dependency isnt a bad thing! i am dependent on many things, medication and drug wise. it is often a good thing. we should just stop putting false binaries between these drugs imho
