Clemmie has a story to tell, one that will unfold as we all get to know her better. Until recently Clemmie was in a puppy farm. Her days there were dark, literally, for Clemmie is blind. Now in the best possible home, she's feeling a strange sense - what it is to be loved 🧡
Her blindness didn't stop her breeder making use of her body, she has, from the state of her, had many litters. It won't be known whether all her pups will be blind, but there's a good likelihood they will be. We'll say more about Clemmie's eyes in a few days & the implications.
She is - and this is the fantastic bit - now safely and forever living with Heather and her pack of girls who know all about how Clemmie must be feeling right now. Heather has experience of caring for and loving dogs with special needs, and Clemmie will want for nothing.
"Clemmie is as good as gold. She’s relating her name to treats. Good hearing, listening to the birds in the garden. She loves her food and knows already where it's prepared. She's getting herself up and down steps from terrace to patio to garden", Heather.
The life of breeding has taken a great toll on Clemmie's body and you can see in her photos her back has large areas of hairloss. This alopecia is common in breeding dogs whose hormonal systems are overwhelmed for years. It should, in time, grow back as Clemmie's health improves.
We know every Schnauzerfester will be sending Clemmie very big and best wishes this evening 🥰 Welcome to your new life sweet Clemmie 🧡
