i like to think about relationships as 100/100 instead of 50/50. one symbolizes two individuals who stand on their own and are able to add to each others lives; whereas the other suggests that the two come to together to create a whole.

personally the only reason i'd get into a relationship is because i want someone to share my personal happiness and success with. not because i want to be or feel happy. emotional fulfillment can only come from within.

and i think this is why a lot of relationships don't last. people make their partners responsible for their happiness, instead of learning how to be okay when another person isn't.
