Okay my final thoughts about shadow and bone this is going to be long and full of spoilers!
firstly I want to say that I think all cast did a great job with what they were given so what I am going to say about the characters has nothing to do with the actors they were amazing! Gonna start with the crows because I think they were my favorite part. I was worried that +
they wouldn't get enough screen time but they did and I liked how they combined them with shadow and bone. My personal favorite was Jesper I already loved him in the books but also in the show he made every scene he was in better and he had one of the best lines ımo +
Also absolutely loved Inej I think Amita did a great job with showing her intensity and emotions It was exactly how I pictured unlike Kaz but surprisingly I actually loved show Kaz as well even tho It didn't quite fit with what I was expecting. About helnik tbh I wanted more? +
I dıdn't expect them to have this little screen time but the scenes were amazing I especially loved the last scene the angst was top tier. So when It comes to shadow and bone part of the show there are some things that actually bothered me about how they wrote Alina +
in the books we got to see how Alina let go of her past and he attachment to mal so she can embrace her powers and become who she actually is and It was such an important moment for her but in the show It was like she was mad at mal and just started to use her powers the next +
minute just out of spite to him and not that she discovered and come to terms with who she actually is. There was a lot of moment of her and mal's past and just her attachment to him that It seems like they took away time from just her own story and her self discover It was like
Alina is not the main character but Mal and Alina were both main characters which is what bothered me. Even tho I am a darklina I didn't even like how they jumped into darklina right after she got mad at mal because we never got to see when her emotions changed or simply her self
journey by Itself because they were too busy trying to convince us that mal and alina had a past and wrote letters to each other like we haven't seen the same scenes so many times before. It took away from developing Alina's own character and seemed a bit like her only motive +
was just her love interest especially in the first episodes I actually quite got bored from watching the same past story clips over and over again when they could have showed us this timeline and Alina's self discover. About the Darkling I actually loved it I could see that Ben +
tried to show his motives to the screen like he said and the way It showed how the darkling believed his plans for grishas through his emotional scenes that showed through his expressions was so amazing to watch. what REALLY bothered me was how he said his name to Alina like +
nothing when in the books that's such an important part of his character and he reveals in an over emotional scene between him and alina where only she knows his name. Even Baghra was shoked when she found out it because It was a big deal for him but in the show literally whole +
ravka found out about his name immediatly. Such a decision. Also That AMPLIFIERS. I don't even wanna talk about it they are the most disgusting visual I ever had to see who ever made that decision I will haunt you down. About Mal's character they really changed his whole +
personality and tried to creat this 'perfect' person even that you could see they changed one of his most problematic book quotes to the opposite to literally make him come clean from his book version. They tried to make this perfect character so much that I think he just +
become this character that has no personality other than being a love interest to Alina. Archie did a great job with what he was given tho I really liked his acting. I think first episodes were quiet boring and repetitive but after a while It got better over all It was not +
as good as I was expecting It's totally not the next witcher or Got but I still enjoyed it
