Oh wow, they're really doing a lot from the first book. I mean, I kinda figured, but it's nice to see because I've always wanted to see how the ambush as Alina is on her way to the Little Palace would look like in action.

I gotta say, what I love about adaptations like this, I get a better sense for the characters from the actors. Like, Jessie as Alina is making me appreciate Alina more as a character when she really pissed me off in the books lmao
