30 days ago, Skippy was brought into the shelter from the Dallas community as a stray unable to use his legs.

Skippy was time-stamped for euthanasia at the shelter and we decided to pull him. We didn't know if he would ever walk again, but he needed a solid medical plan.

Skippy was hospitalized at VEG and diagnosed with parvo...we almost lost him. He won that battle & was discharged 5 days later. Skippy spent 3 weeks recovering in medical foster with Sheri. He needed to get strong to be able to travel to NYC to continue his journey.

We spent 2 weeks trying to find him a flight, we couldn't put Skippy on ground transport, his body would not have been able to endure the 48 hr trip. A flight was the only safe & comfortable option.

We were striking out finding a flight from DAL to NYC... UNTIL YESTERDAY.

We got word from our good friend, pilot, navy vet, rescuer Sali, that @Amazon was willing to fly Skippy with their ATI TEAM!!

WHAT??!!

Skippy a special needs Pitbull was given a free 3-hour ticket flight in the cockpit by AMAZON!!

At 4:30pm we got a message from the pilot: "Hey guys, Todd here/(captain). Skippy had the first-class meal, watched the inflight movie, got lots of ear scratches & belly rubs, then passed out. Getting him ready to get off the plane now."

Welcome to NYC Skippy! The 3rd phase of his journey now begins. Thank you to his medical foster mom,  @amazon,  @DallasPetsAlive, WFS Worldwide Flight Services, Air Transport International, Sali...you the real MVP baby... well you & Skippy.
