The International Care Experienced Day of Remembrance is only a week away.
On April 30th, we're inviting you to take part in an International Care Experienced Day of Remembrance to mark the end of the first-ever Care Experienced History Month #ICEDR #CEHM21
We believe that Care Experienced people, no matter how long ago they left us, should be remembered. They have been a part of societies around world since records began. By coming together online, we want to honour their legacy.
This symbol has been created by Care Experienced people. It represents a bridge from the past to present, a bridge to the people, a bridge to the future and bridging the divide in understanding the history.
Remembering those who are no longer here is a deeply personal thing. We encourage you to do this in whatever way feels right for you. If you want some inspiration, we have created a guide which includes lighting a candle, planting some seeds and other ways you can remember.
Reflecting on loss and remembering those who are no longer with us can surface feelings that you are unsure how to manage. On the website you can also find out where to access support if you would like it.
You can follow @HistoryOfCare.
