... to the subway! First time on a train since ... February? early March? I’m also wearing jewelry & carrying a purse, & it is SO STRANGE to feel all these things, once integral to my daily life, as — strange.

I, uh, am still working on the train, because I owe everyone everything and I can’t quit. But I have also earned this day off, dammit!

This is Times Square station at 10 a.m. on a Friday, should you doubt things have changed in the city. (It should be chockablock with people.)

I am in Times Square now, & seeing all these boarded-up shops & dark theatre marquees hurts my heart. My poor city.

Good news: the @magnoliabakery at the corner of 49th & 6th is still open!
