You know what they will do? Resurrect the Super League and give places to teams based on UEFA coefficients. Especially since so many people seem to think that's a fair and meritorious method for deciding inclusion to the Champions League.

It's probably going to be called "The UEFA Super League" and then 15 teams with the highest coefficients will join that and the other 5 spots will go to someone else. And then everyone else will play in the Champions League.

And everyone will be happy and pretend that "this is all about merit", this gives the fans what they want, we have saved football, and Boris Johnson will fly in waving Champions League flags and cut the ribbon and fall over while drinking a cup of tea.
