1. Biden’s approval rating is at 59%, 63% among college students - highest in the 21-year history of the poll. Higher support among young people of color (African Americans 77%, Hispanics 70%)

2. Young Americans significantly more likely to be politically engaged than a decade ago (24% in 2009 -> 36% in 2021)+ a sharp increase in progressive political values.

3. Despite the hyper-polarization in America, hope for the future is rising. In Fall 2017, only 31% said they were hopeful about the future of America, vs. 56% now.

4. Politics is personal. 31% of young Americans say that politics has gotten in the way of a friendship.
5. Only 26% of young Republicans believe that Joe Biden won the election fairly. 68% overall.

6. A plurality (30%) believe that history will judge Trump as the “worst president ever”.
7. Sobering news: 51% of respondents reported feeling “down, depressed, or hopeless” in the recent weeks, 28% had thoughts of self-harm.
