I haven& #39;t really gotten the chance to talk about it, but here& #39;s why Angra is my favourite fate character
spoilers for F/HA to a fairly large extent

Angra is, to say the least a very unique character even in his own series with plenty of distinct ones
At first, he comes off as simply an edgy bloodthristy borderline beastly servant but you slowly see more layers to him through the story

His personality, narration and dialogue are all really charming, even if he& #39;s a little too much of a dick sometimes
That backstory is when I really fell in love with him like most people I imagine

The way Nasu presents such inhumane levels of pain while giving just enough to portray what his "nothingness" is like within Bazett& #39;s dreams is perfect. He doesn& #39;t exaggerate on it to make Angra a misery porn character, rather as an expression to show how he has gotten here
Angra frankly does not have much screen time even in the main story, but the way HA& #39;s slice of life works into his character, being revealed as what inhibits Shirou& #39;s body is phenomenal
He doesn& #39;t interact with them ONCE, but his idealizing of Shirou& #39;s path through that

is not hard to sympathize with at all, it& #39;s somewhat a meta commentary of the readers that do look up to Shirou through the lenses of the story
but his past that led him to despise humans plays into this like a trump card, it& #39;s absolutely unsubtle how much Angra detests people

Even in his backstory this is made quite obvious, but instead of letting it go like a revenge driven monkey
Nasu instead uses it to make Angra his (in my opinon) biggest achievement in terms of character writing

That very hate for humanity is what drives Angra through it all, kind of like his soul essence but after seeing Shirou live his life he doesn& #39;t want to let it go to waste
He wants to give all that suffering a beautiful meaning the same way Shirou wants to respect his past

Both of these characters have my favourite dynamic in the franchise without a single character being exchanged between them
The way we see this hardly human existence follow the footsteps of a broken man we& #39;ve come to adore, through the very same events we see unfold in the story, I can& #39;t do it justice

In the end Angra finds meaning through all his suffering in Bazett despite giving up the only possible chance he himself had to be happy
This is somewhat of a tangent but I find Angra the most inspiring character in the series, despite his morals being very questionable
if someone like him can find meaning in his existence regardless of all he went through, why can& #39;t I?

Bazett may be the easiest to relate to because of her internal struggle, but I find Angra& #39;s resolution the most uplifting one as he crawls back to what is unimaginably harsh so that his pain is not in vain
