All of you "暫時唔會打站" or otherwise "wait and see" people in Hong Kong are starting to piss me off.

Get vaccinated now, while Hong Kong is relatively safe.

Rushing to get vaccinated at the start of the next wave will be useless. The vaccine is only considered effective six weeks from the date of your first dose.

IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT WAVE STARTS IT IS ALREADY TOO LATE.

What I worry about with the coronavirus in Hong Kong:

- B117 gets out in the community.
- Low vaccination uptake means we have the worst wave yet.
- More people lose their jobs.
- A lot of Hong Kongers suffer or die unnecessarily.

Get vaccinated now, prevent this nightmare.

There are about 23,000 BioNTech appointments per day. Right now we have NEXT DAY availability at all but one BioNTech CVC.

If you wait until the end of the program, or the start of the next wave, congratulations, you'll be competing with most of Hong Kong for one of those slots.

Further, beginning September 7, you will be unable to book a first dose of BioNTech Comirnaty. If the next big wave happens after that point, your only options are to hide in your home or get the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine.

Sinovac CoronaVac will probably keep you from needing hospitalization. But, right now we Hong Kongers have one of the best few options in the world, available to everyone, with next day availability. You should take advantage of your immense good fortune.

If you're planning to wait until the end of the program, what exactly do you think is going to change between now and September? Over 100 million people have now had this exact same vaccine around the world. If there were actual issues we would already know.

Another way to think about it: you have better odds of winning the Mark 6 jackpot—1 in 139,838,160—than having something new and heretofore unseen issue with the vaccine.
