A thread of resources to clarify Oh My Girl’s mistakes regarding Cultural Appropriation / Racism & their apology attempts.

Yes OMG have made mistakes but stan twt has twisted their issues way out of proportion. Stan twt is very hypocritical as many other groups have more issues.

I want to make it clear that we are not trying to excuse the girls ignorant behaviour, nor do we want to invalidate POC who feel hurt by their actions. We apologise on behalf of OMG to those offended. We just want to clear up the girls mistakes, & show the hypocrisy of stan twt.

So many kpop groups have done problematic things, several even more than OMG. Yet the hate Oh My Girl gets is really unproportional compared to these groups. It’s so frustrating for Miracles to see someone attacking OMG when their faves have done something similar or worse.

We know the girls have tried to apologise & we believe they didn’t have malicious intentions. So rather than believing the stan twt hate train, please read these materials and learn the full context rather than some twisted lies. Hate comments aren’t going to get you anywhere.
