Facts about this Tokyo Sexwale saga
1. That institution on Church Street called Reserve Bank is the most corrupt institution in the history of this country. The Ciex report is only a drop in the ocean. Go research Apartheid Financial crimes about how the Nats stole gold reserves.
Not only is the Reserve Bank the most corrupt of all our institutions but its also the most secretive. Former directors and shareholders from the likes of Michael Duerr to Stephen Goodson have presented evidence of corruption and plain theft happening there for decades.
They have also detailed how information is buried and threats are made against those who would expose it. So evidence of corruption against the Reserve Bank is always welcomed but very difficult to prove due to the secrecy around the institution.
In his book on the Reserve Bank, Goodson details much criminality that even today has not been investigated or prosecuted because our law enforcement is full of finance idiots.
The recent siphoning of Steinhoff billions is one such criminality whereby our Governor is helping directors of a criminal racket to hide funds from shareholders. As usual the Hawks and NPA are idiots who can't or won't crack financial crimes.
So yes there is much corruption in the Reserve Bank and it needs to exposed and dealt with.
2. But you guys are crazy if you think anybody has donated 55 hundred billion dollars in cash and other current assets to the same institution as charity to poor Africans. That's 10 times our GDP. I'm mentioning our GDP to show you just how ridiculous this amount is.
The top 10 richest people in the world don't have such funds in cash and current assets. Our commercial banks combined don't have such cash. So who the hell has such funds? Legend is that the Rockefeller and Rothschild have such funds, but they are not from Singapore.
Who in Singapore has such wealth? We don't know the identity of the founder of blockchain, and thats the only person who could have such wealth if we were to stretch the search, but still it won't be in cash.
The conclusion is that no one has that kind of money to donate. So it's not like we don't want to believe Uncle Tokyo Sexwale, it's just that the accounting doesn't balance.
3. The other possibility is that Tokyo Sexwale got the figures wrong, and the amount donated is much less than that. But if the amount is much less, then why is he talking about financing infrastructure and social projects like free education which demands whole lot more money?
In Tokyo's mind the amount is 12-15 digits, but that is impossible as shown. So what is going on?
4. Tokyo Sexwale's sidekick, Gordon Webb, opened a case with the police. But his affidavit highlights the theft of thousands of metric tons of gold. (I have only seen the summary, so someone must leak the whole affidavit.) So why doesnt he mention the 55 hundred billion dollars?
The allegations of theft of gold and funds by Reserve Bank officials are not new, and have been around since the days of the Vorster/Mulder, so at this point they are believable. But still this says nothing about the Tokyo funds.
Ooh, being a shareholder of the Reserve Bank is not really a big deal these days since people have realised that those shares are as worthy (less) as holding our bonds. So don't give credence to a person just because he has bought some shares that you and I can also buy.
5. So what is going on here? There might be funds that came through and were stolen, but not in the same scale that Tokyo is referring to. Ours is the most corrupt government in our history, and not even the Nats were as corrupt as the Ramaphosa administration.
The most worrying part about this administration, that is different from other administrations, is that they don't have any interest of the country at heart. The Nats stole plenty but they also built the country. Previous ANC administrations stole, but you can see some progress.
This Ramaphosa administration steals and leave nothing behind. They collapsed Eskom and they are on the way to doing the same to Transnet. But back to topic.
6. Its possible that the money was stolen and made its way back to the country through investments, it's classic money laundering scheme at the highest level. But there's no details on who stole it and how. It's really not difficult to trace such kind of money.
At the end of the day, there are too many holes on this Tokyo Sexwale story. Listening to him I got worried that something happened to him to cause him to make such grand allegations with little proof. I like conspiracy theories but this theory doesn't meet minimum standards.
Our dislike of Ramaphosa should not cloud our judgement. If you gonna drop files then have files. You can't give a bank account no and tell us to investigate. Whats there to investigate? Didn't he get monthly reports previously? Didn't he have correspondence from the bank before?
In the absence of any communication, acknowledgment of the initial receipt of funds, then we have nothing to go on with. On the other hand, if the money was indeed stolen then you can imagine how much the other ANC faction has in its coffers to keep power. Forget regime change.
Get yourself this book and learn about the most corrupt entity in South Africa. Stop chasing 55 hundred billion dollars that can't exist.
In any case, Tokyo Sexwale says not all of the funds are stolen, so surely he can show proof of the remaining funds, and also show the bank statement to prove his point. But he has neither. You know what, it's Friday, go to groove and enjoy yourself.
