Many people I know are running call centres of sorts where they are verifying leads, numbers and directing people to the resource they need.

The sense I'm getting is that a lot of people want to desperately do something to help.

If you are one of those people, please find a volunteer network. Do it methodically and on a case by case basis. Talk to people who are experienced with running call centres.

Attending SOS calls can also being quite traumatizing. People will die on you and it will come as a shock.

Please seek help and advice before doing this.
