I think it’s disrespectful if you’re a photographer from a particular hood, coming to shoot in a hood, not of your own, without consulting the photographers/creatives of that hood! Even if it’s just a “bro, I’m shooting in your hood today, just letting you know”.

If you think I’m being extra, cool. Just don’t call me after they mug you.. simple.
Or even come to Soweto from another place without informing I, @wadinepe or @andilebhala to name a few. We have bled here, been here all our lives. A simple concept, yet so important and respectful to people’s cultures and spaces.
Like you can’t go to cpt and shoot in the streets without at least consulting or informing @Lukeswork_ or @TshepoMgadule for instance..
Or visit Alex without reporting to @artvillain or @wandalephoto_ and the homies. I mean these are people who reflect and represent their hoods.
