Those defending a system in which commercial advantages come to those who pay ex Ministers or the ruling party are not supporting capitalism but kleptocracy and rent-seeking. Presumably in the hope of joining in.
Someone (Labour? Journalists?) should be compiling a list of questions about Greensill. Top of my list would be how a private bank (and evidently not a good one) is able to discuss money making strategies so extensively with government officials as if it is part of the state?
And Greensill happened under three separate Prime Ministers. There is a systemic problem revealed here which so far seems to be a matter of little concern to those who would claim to be interested about the ability of the UK government to govern well.
