MI qualified for the Play-offs for the last 3 Season i.e(2010,11 &12) but didn't able to break the barrier of lifting the First IPL Title.From 26th May 2013 MI has been ome of the successful Team in the History of IPL.!
Ricky Ponting was named as the Captain of MI ahead of 2013 Season.During the midway of the tournament he stepped down from captaincy due to his batting form.On 24th April,2013 Rohit Sharma was made a captain of MI & rest is history.!
2013 Season:-
Mumbai Indians won 8 out of 10 matches under Rohit's captaincy & they have qualified for Play-offs for the 5 successive Season.For the 2nd time MI qualified for the final.They defeated CSK by 23 runs & lifted their First ever IPL Title.Start of Rohit Sharma IPL ERA!

One of the worst start by MI...they just managed only one win out of 6 matches.The turnaround shown by MI players of winning last 7 out of 8 matches under Rohit's captaincy is something remarkable.MI lifted their 2nd Title by defeating CSK by 41runs.!

MI won 10 out of 14 matches & finished on the Top of the points table.They defeated RPS by 1 runs to lift their 3rd Title(most by any Team).2017 final will top the list of all the final player by MI.Defending 129 runs in IPl is something phenomenal.!

MI won 9 out of 14 matches & qualified for Play-offs & they again faced CSK in the final for the 4th time.The defeated CSK by 1 runs to lift their 4th IPL Title(most by any Team till date).Two run out of S.Watson & Ms Dhoni make the difference in the Final.!
